Healthy Boundaries between Educators and Children

This interactive 3-part training is designed for early learning and child care professionals to explore the importance of establishing, maintaining, and supporting healthy boundaries with children. Through a relationship-based approach, participants will gain insights into how boundaries contribute to emotional safety, trust, and positive interactions. Through discussions, reflective exercises, and exploring real-world scenarios, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to implement healthy boundaries in their daily practice.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Define and articulate the importance of healthy boundaries in early childhood settings and their role in fostering secure relationships.
  2. Implement co-regulation techniques to support children’s emotional development and self-regulation skills while respecting established boundaries.
  3. Understand and apply informed consent principles to everyday interactions with children, promoting autonomy and respect.
  4. Develop consistent boundary-setting strategies that support a safe and nurturing learning environment.
