Depolarizing Leadership Certification™ (25 Hours)
The Depolarizing Leadership Certification™ is a 25-hour certification that includes a full-day retreat and 6 modules, supporting senior leadership through the complexities, pressures and polarities they navigate on a daily basis. This experience integrates retreat-based renewal with practical leadership tools to help leaders move beyond burnout, reduce organizational tension, and lead with clarity in uncertain times.
Participants explore the core paradoxes of modern leadership, balancing confidence with humility, high standards with compassion, and personal well-being with organizational demands. Through trauma-informed frameworks, reflective practice, and both/and thinking, leaders learn to depolarize conflict, strengthen culture, and communicate with greater intention.
Each participant leaves with a personalized leadership identity statement and practical strategies to sustain themselves and their teams. Depolarizing Leadership Certification™ is for leaders who are ready to reset, evolve, and lead with deeper wisdom and resilience.
Module Descriptions – 25-hour certification:
Leadership is filled with inherent tensions, contradictory yet interdependent forces that shape decisions, relationships, and organizational culture. These tensions are not signs of poor leadership; they are the very reason leadership is required. As Smith and Lewis note, paradoxes “exist simultaneously and persist over time,” offering creative possibilities when leaders learn to engage them rather than choose between them.
Module 1: Deeply Personal & Inherently Collective (Full Day – In Person)
A retreat-style exploration of identity, interdependence, and authentic presence, helping leaders navigate personal–collective tensions and strengthen connection, clarity, and purpose in their leadership practice.
Module 2: Confidence & Humility (½ Day – Virtual)
Explore catalytic leadership by balancing confidence with humility, recognizing polarized leadership patterns, and building the self-awareness needed to inspire trust, dialogue, and grounded decision-making in complex environments.
Module 3: High Standards & Gracious Forgiveness (½ Day – Virtual)
Strengthen communication by pairing accountability with compassion, exploring how high standards and forgiveness work together to build safety, trust, and sustained excellence within teams.
Module 4: BRICK LAB: Teacher & Learner (Full Day – In Person)
An immersive, hands-on day where leaders practice valuing contributions, navigating ambiguity, and strengthening surge capacity by showing up as both teacher and learner in evolving organizational contexts.
Module 5: Stubborn & Open-Minded (1/2 Day – Virtual)
Explore how conviction and curiosity work together in effective leadership. Leaders practice balancing firm principles with openness, strengthening organizational accountability, collaboration, and responsive decision-making.
Module 6: LEADERSHIP IDENTITY STATEMENTS (1/2 Day -TBD)
Leaders present personal Leadership Identity Statements that reflect the integration of their learning, clarity of their values, and the legacy they are committed to creating through their transformational leadership.
