Unconscious Exclusion – Navigating Equality and Perception (6 hours)

This training, ideal for professionals at all levels, is a full-day exploration into the practical application of fostering inclusive and equitable practices and environments. We'll decode the subtle language of “isms” (e.g. racism, sexism, and ableism) that are called micro aggressions, and show you how to recognize and address their impact in workplace interactions and environments. This course is not just about theory; it's about practical application, equipping you with the knowledge and tools to make a real difference in your workplace.

“When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression” Franklin Leonard. If this quote strikes a response from you either way… join us to further the discussion.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize the connection that unconscious exclusion has on an individual’s physiology in the workplace, aligning with your goal of fostering inclusive and equitable practices.
  • Show how unconscious exclusion or unintentional intentions can have an adverse impact on those excluded in the language and behaviours in workplaces.
  • Explore the messiness and reveal values and beliefs behind subtle acts of exclusion in the workplace across sectors.
