Inter Glow – Intergenerational Play Sessions ✨
Inter Glow is our beautiful FREE intergenerational playgroup, bringing babies, young children, their families and older generations together through play, music and connection. 💛
Hosted within local care homes, each 50-minute session creates a relaxed and welcoming space where little ones and residents can spend time together, share smiles and make some very special memories.
During the session you can expect a lovely mix of:
Familiar songs and singing
Music and instruments
Gentle play and interaction
Time to mingle and get to know the residents
Plenty of smiles, conversation and connection
And, where everyone is comfortable, perhaps even a cuddle or two!
There is never any pressure for children to interact in a particular way – little ones are welcome to explore, join in and take everything at their own pace. Sometimes the smallest interactions, from a wave or a smile to sharing an instrument together, can be the most meaningful.
Inter Glow is all about bringing the generations together. Giving our little ones the opportunity to build connections beyond their usual circles, while bringing joy, companionship and the wonderful energy of young families into our local care homes.
✨ Sessions are completely FREE for local families, but spaces must be booked in advance.

Inter Glow – Attendee Information ✨
We can’t wait to welcome you and your little one to Inter Glow! 💛 Here are a few things to know before your session:
👶 Let your little one lead the way
There is absolutely no pressure for your child to interact with residents. Some little ones may be happy to say hello, share instruments or enjoy a cuddle, while others may prefer to stay close to their grown-up and simply take everything in. Both are completely fine! We encourage all interaction to happen naturally and at your little one’s own pace.
💕 Cuddles are always optional
Our residents often love meeting the babies and children, but cuddles and close contact will only ever happen when both you and your little one are happy and comfortable.
🌡️ Dress in light layers
Care homes can get quite warm, so we recommend dressing little ones in layers that are easy to remove during the session to keep them comfortable.
🧦 Bring anything your little one might need
Please bring your usual changing bag and anything you may need during the 50-minute session. Feeding, changing and comforting your little one whenever needed is absolutely fine.
🚗 Please leave buggies outside where possible
Space within the homes can be limited, so buggies will need to be left outside or, where the individual care home permits, in the foyer. A baby carrier can be a handy option if you use one.
⏰ Please arrive promptly
Our sessions take place within working care homes, so arriving on time helps us enter, settle in and begin the session together without disrupting the residents or staff.
Most importantly, enjoy it! Inter Glow is designed to be relaxed, welcoming and led by the little people joining us. Whether your child spends the whole session singing and socialising or quietly watching from your lap, they are very welcome. ✨
