Family Summer Skills Splash is a weekly, family-focused swimming session designed to build water confidence, develop swimming skills, and create a fun, supportive environment for families to enjoy time together. Held exclusively in the teaching pool at Abbey Leisure Complex, these sessions combine open family swim time with optional instructor-led workshops.
What the Session Includes:
Family Open Swim: A relaxed, enjoyable swimming opportunity for families to spend active time together. The teaching pool environment supports younger or less confident swimmers, making it ideal for mixed-ability families.
Interactive Skills Workshops: Qualified swim instructors will deliver optional mini-workshops in the water, offering water confidence activities, technique refinement and water safety guidance.
Families can choose to join the workshops or simply enjoy the open swim-creating a flexible, inclusive experience.
All children MUST be accompanied by an adult in the pool. 1 adult to no more than 2 children under the age of 8yrs.

The session takes place at the Abbey Leisure Complex and free parking is available at the pool venue.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session to register at the reception desk and allow time to change. Changing facilities include both Family cubicles and individual ones. Refundable £1 lockers are available to use during your session.
