Exploring colour and scent as a pathway into calm, softness and rest.
In a world that asks us to keep moving, this is an invitation to pause. This two-hour guided gathering devoted to grounding, restoration and deep conscious rest is part of a rolling programme of events curated for Amble.
This offering explores the relationship between colour, scent and rest how the colours and scenes we surround ourselves with can influence the atmosphere within us, and how we might consciously work with them as a gentle invitation towards calm.
Colour, scent & rest
We often experience colour and scent before we have words for how we feel. Blue can evoke spaciousness, stillness and quiet. Green can remind us of nature, softness and restoration. Warm, earthy tones can create a sense of grounding and comfort. Combined with scents this will create a deeply nourishing sensorial experience.
In this session, we will explore these not as something to achieve or interpret, but as a sensory experience. As a trained colour and aroma therapist Ati often uses both to support rest.
Through gentle somatic practices and a colour and scent visualisation you will be invited to notice how different colours and scents feel in the mindbody and what qualities they might invite into your experience.
There is no right colour or scent and no particular feeling you need to reach.
Instead, we will explore the two as a language of sensation and a way of gently communicating with the mindbody, creating an environment where rest can become more accessible. Held within an atmosphere inspired by colour and scent, this deeply nourishing practice invites the body and mind to soften, supporting a shift towards stillness, spaciousness and inner quiet.
