Kitty Cat Micro Quilt! - Strong Beginner - Ages 10 and up

Let's make a micro quilt! If you've made a few sewing projects and are ready to give quilting a try, join Sarah for this Kitty Cat Micro Quilt workshop! Using the cat face block pattern designed by Elizabeth Hartman, you'll practice each step in the quilting process (cutting, piecing, quilting, AND binding) to create an adorable patchwork cat micro quilt. This little quilt is the perfect addition to your handmade seasonal decor, and makes a great spot to set your tea!

This workshop is for children and adults who are Strong Beginners and up, meaning you understand the basics of threading and operating a sewing machine.

If your student has a home sewing machine in good working order, they may bring it. Otherwise Beehive has machines available to borrow during the workshop.

Supply List:

• Cat Face: (1) 10" x 10" square or scraps
• Background: (1) 10" x 10" square or scraps
• Backing Fabric: (1) 10" x 10" square
• Binding: (1) fat eighth OR (1) 2.5" x WOF strip (from a jelly roll)
• thread for piecing
• thread for quilting
• Batting provided
• Black fabric for optional face provided The following supplies are available for use at Beehive, or you can bring your own! -pins -marking tool (erasable fabric pen, hera marker, etc) -walking foot with guide (optional) -binding clips (optional) -small scissors -seam ripper -rotary cutter, mat, ruler

Instructor: Sarah has been quilting for 15 years, and has been longarming for clients all over the US since 2020. She loves cheerful designs, whimsical fabrics, and all the colors! Sarah's quilting work has been published in books and magazines, and she has released 3 original quilt patterns. Quilting is one of her favorite things, and she loves helping others have as much fun with it as she does! Sarah lives in Austin with her husband, son, and sewing helper cat.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
