Join us for a practical workshop exploring how equine land management can support equine welfare, soil health, water movement and wider environmental outcomes.
We'll look at the horse as a grazing herbivore and explore the challenges many equine land managers face today, including soil compaction, poor drainage, overgrazing, mud management, rising management pressures and the increasing prevalence of laminitis.
Through a mixture of presentations, discussion and group activities, you'll identify issues affecting your own land and work through practical solutions. Together, we'll explore track systems, movement-friendly grazing layouts, balancing grazing needs with laminitis risk, and simple interventions that can improve both horse health and land resilience.
Suitable for horse owners, yard managers and landowners, this workshop is designed to provide practical ideas and achievable actions that can be applied to a wide range of equine settings.
Leave with a greater understanding of how small changes can create healthier land for healthier horses.
