Dettagli

NO SHRINKING is a powerful, expressive movement session that explores taking up space while honouring the rage that can surface when we stop doing so.

Through strong, expansive movement and moments of release, this class creates space for emotions that are often suppressed, frustration, anger, grief, defiance, without needing to explain or justify them.

You’ll move through functional, full-body exercises designed to feel solid, forceful, and grounding, including:

Sled pushes and pulls, leaning in, driving forward, holding your ground

Ball slams, lifting, throwing, releasing with intention

Punch bag work, striking, pushing, or bracing in ways that feel supportive

Strong carries, pushes, and holds that encourage presence and stability

These movements are not about speed, punishment, or burning anything off. They’re about using strength to occupy space and letting the body express what it’s been holding.

The session is set to an emotive, carefully curated playlist, music that builds, holds, and supports intensity without rushing you. You’ll be encouraged to move with the rhythm, or against it, or to pause entirely if that’s what your body needs.

You’ll be invited (never required) to move with force, sound, and presence, or to stay slow, contained, and steady if that feels safer. Rage here can be loud, quiet, sharp, heavy, or still.

Support is central to this session. Instructors will offer:

Clear options and adaptations

Permission to rest or step away

Language that prioritises choice, autonomy, and nervous-system safety

This is not about “letting it all out.”
It’s about not shrinking around what’s real, and leaving with a sense of grounded power rather than depletion.

istruzioni

This session is designed to support taking up space, expressing energy, and moving with intention, not to push past limits or perform intensity.

Please read the following so you know what to expect and how to care for yourself during the session.

Before You Arrive

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and feel supported.

Bring water and anything that helps you feel grounded (e.g. a towel, wrist wraps, layers).

Arrive knowing there is no expectation to be loud, fast, or visibly expressive.

You do not need to be in a particular emotional state to attend.

During the Session

You are always in control of how much space you take, physically, emotionally, and energetically.

All movements are optional and adaptable. You may:

Go slower or smaller

Take breaks

Modify or skip exercises

Step outside the space if needed

Sound is welcome but never required. Silence is equally valid.

You are encouraged to focus on your own experience rather than how you look or what others are doing.

Consent & Boundaries

This is a hands-off session unless explicit consent is given.

You are not expected to share, explain, or justify any emotions that arise.

Instructors may offer cues, options, or support, but you are free to decline at any time.

Emotional Safety

Emotions such as anger, frustration, grief, or defiance may surface, or they may not. Both are normal.

You are welcome to stay regulated and contained throughout.

If anything feels overwhelming, you are encouraged to pause, ground, or ask for support.

After the Session

Allow yourself time to transition out gently.

Hydrate, eat, and rest as needed.

Some people feel energised; others feel calm or reflective. There is no “correct” after-effect.

What This Session Is / Is Not

This session is:

Choice-led

Inclusive of all genders and bodies

Focused on presence and autonomy

This session is not:

A test of toughness

A space for forced catharsis

About pushing through pain or distress

A Final Reminder

You are not required to shrink, soften, or make yourself easier to hold here.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
