Born to Perform Juniors sessions are tailored for children aged 9 to 15 (however this is just a guideline and a free taster session is given where teachers will be able to suggest which class may be appropriate) offering a more advanced and structured approach to the performing arts. These sessions are designed to challenge and inspire older children, helping them develop key skills in dance, drama, music, and communication while building confidence and creativity in a supportive environment.
What the Sessions Involve:
Dance and Choreography
Children learn dance routines and choreography to improve coordination, technique, and rhythm.
Drama and Character Development:
Engaging activities focus on improvisation, character building, and expressive acting to develop emotional depth and storytelling skills.
Music and Vocal Training:
Singing sessions are designed to enhance vocal range, pitch control, and group harmonies, fostering confidence in musical performance.
Sing and Sign – Learning Sign Language Through Music:
Children are introduced to sign language and taught how to incorporate it into music and singing. This unique activity enhances communication skills, raises awareness of inclusivity, and creates a powerful connection between music and movement.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Group projects and team-based exercises encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative in creative settings.
Performance Preparation:
Children work on stagecraft, timing, and presentation skills to prepare for live performances with greater professionalism and polish.
Benefits of the Sessions:
Refines Skills:
Juniors develop greater technical proficiency in dance, drama, music, and communication, laying the foundation for advanced performance abilities.
Boosts Confidence and Independence:
Activities are designed to encourage self-expression and resilience, building confidence both on and off the stage.
Encourages Teamwork and Leadership:
