Course Overview:
Week 1: Slab Building
Learn the fundamentals of slab building as we craft vases or planters using this versatile technique.
Week 2: Pinch & Sgraffito
Experiment with pinch pottery to create small bowls, mugs, or candle holders, and explore the decorative art of sgraffito.
Week 3: Coiling & Potter’s Wheel
Discover the traditional coiling method by starting a coiled bowl, which we'll refine in the next session. Plus, get a chance to try the potter’s wheel.
Week 4: Coiling & Finishing Touches
Wrap up your projects, refine your coil pots, and make final adjustments before they’re ready for firing.
Throughout the course, you'll have opportunities to decorate and slip your creations.

Class size: our classes will have max 6 people
What to Bring:
An apron or clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Your own tools, if you have them. We will also have enough for everyone!(Please note that clay and glazes are provided, with limited quantities per person.)
Important Notes:
We cannot guarantee that all pieces will survive the firing process, as working with clay can be unpredictable. This course is designed to focus on the experience rather than the final product, so please keep this in mind.
If you are unable to attend a session, we cannot provide an additional make-up day. However, in cases of illness, we can offer you the opportunity to drop in on a session in an upcoming course within 4 months.
Cancellation Policy:
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for this course within 7 days of the course. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person organised by you. Please inform us if you would like to do so.

We are located behind the shop. You can walk straight through the shop to the courtyard out the back, and you will see our studio situated just across from there. You can also walk around the side of the shop and find your way through the gates to reach us.
Accessibility Information:
Our studio space has some limitations in accessibility, including two steps and a cobbled path leading to the studio.
