The aim of this workshop is to understand the main principles of plagiarism in order to avoid it. To do so, we first would like to help participants getting the right habits of citation by experimenting various citation cases that may be encountered during the writing process of reports or publications, including thesis.
Then, we will show you more in depth how to use the similarity detection tool iThenticate. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
• understand the stakes of citation,
• cite and reuse different types of content properly,
• comprehend what is incorrect referencing,
• use iThenticate to check your text and understand how to read the similarity report
