Come and join us round the fire to enjoy the beautiful garden together. This term we’ll be harvesting and sowing, meeting garden beasties, creating beautiful crafts and pictures with natural dyes and flowers, wild weaving and celebrating the changing of the season.
Sessions involve growing, cooking and harvesting from the garden, stories and songs around the campfire, making natural crafts based around seasonal themes.
Enjoy time to socialise and be outdoors together engaging in free play in the mud kitchen, willow dome, digging beds, flower and veg beds, orchard and pond.
You are welcome in the garden from 9:30 and session starts with an opening circle and song at 10am and finishes with the closing circle at 11:30. There is hot drinks and cake for all, also snacks made on the fire from garden produce or that we’ve cooked together.
The next 7 week term starts on Wednesday 8th September.
Parking is outside the garden at Old School Farm on the Dartington Estate. It is limited however so you may need to use the paid-for parking at the top of the track.
You are welcome in the garden from 9:30 then the session starts at 10am with an opening circle and song so please arrive in time to be seated round the fire and ready to sing hello!
Please come dressed for the weather and prepared to get dirty and play!
We provide a theme for the session and craft and gardening activities but the sessions are child-led. Exploring the garden, digging, watering or enjoying the art and books in the roundhouse are favourite activities.
There is a compost toilet on site, drinking water and hand washing facilities.
One Big Change! We are asking families to bring their own cups for hot drinks both for yourselves and for your youngsters and also a bowl and spoon for soup or snacks.
We will put out a bowl of hot water and tea towel if you want to rinse your crockery before taking them home.
Many thanks!!

Parking outside the garden does get full very quickly and we do need to park with careful consideration of other businesses at School Farm, not blocking access to gates or passageways. Please park close to other cars to maximise the number of cars we can fit in.
Paid for parking is at the top of the track at Foxhole Car Park which is about £2 for two hours.
