Recovery Month 2026 - Free Screening of Unmasking Influence

The SAFER Cork City Steering Committee is pleased to invite you to a free screening of the documentary Unmasking Influence, taking place as part of Recovery Month 2026.This event is open to members of the public, community groups, and professionals working across a range of sectors. It forms part of a wider programme of events being delivered across Cork and Kerry to mark Recovery Month 2026.

About Unmasking Influence

Unmasking Influence has recently been publicly released, and the SAFER Communities Initiative is bringing the film, together with a facilitated discussion, to communities participating in the SAFER programme across Ireland.

The documentary explores how commercial actors can influence public policy and public health. It highlights the impact of commercial determinants on major public health challenges and examines the need to identify, understand and address harmful corporate influences.

Through the experiences and insights of leading researchers and advocates, Unmasking Influence aims to raise awareness of corporate harm and contribute to discussions on protecting and improving public health.

Following the screening of Unmasking Influence, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion and Q&A session featuring:
