5Rhythms in Nature with Jenny Fahy.
**We will meet near the Land at 10.45am & people can park their cars there and we will walk from there together (2 minutes) to the Field
Dance will be from 11am to 12.30pm on the Land
This is a special birthday dance! Celebrate my 50th with me, there'll be cake and tea/coffee/herbal after!
This will be my first time to facilitate a movement space on the Land, so it's going to be special.
I facilitate the dance space. Everyone gets their own headset, and I communicate with you all through the headsets.
It will be an innovative, fun, creative, exploration of the mind and body in Nature.
You will be invited to explore what it is like to follow your own body, your own feet, your own movement, your own instincts, your own dance.
The 5Rhythms is a creative, free yet disciplined practice, that will take you out of your head and into your body.
Healing, connecting, awakening, increasing your self-awareness. Your body if it is given the opportunity and space, will know what it needs and how it wants to dance.
Jenny has been moving with this practice for the past 26 years. She found her way into a class in Galway in June 2000 and she trained with the founder, Gabrielle Roth and The Moving Centre in 2007.
She continues to dance regularly for her own enjoyment and exploration. She holds a monthly class in Limerick.
She lives in Cloughjordan with her family. She is also a Creative Studies and Community Mental Health lecturer in Applied Social Studies in Carlow College and is very experienced in holding groups.
Bring a water bottle, wear layers of clothing. Bring a jacket with a hood please - in case of rain showers, you need to be able to cover up your head, to protect the headsets from water damage. Also, bring a full change of clothes, in case of rain showers, so you can change afterwards.
Bringing a yoga mat/blanket can also be nice for outdoor dancing as it give you the opportunity to lay down on the ground, and move close to the earth (mat is good in case of damp ground).
Please arrive on time, so we can car share with ease, and get up to the Land and get dancing!
NB: When you book you will give me your mobile number so I can text if we need to do a last minute cancellation due to adverse weather. If I post-pone I will give you credit for another outdoor session, and if you need to cancel, do so at least 24 hours before, and I will transfer your credit to another class. Cancellation within 24 hours, you forfeit your payment. Class will happen with drizzly rain but not if it's downpours etc.
