Note: This course has now started and is unavailable to book. Booking for future Beginners courses will open at the end of February. In the meantime we’d love you to join our all ability Ceili classes!
This is a 12-week course for beginner-level Irish dancers with a few month's experience who want to keep learning Irish dancing in a fun and supportive environment!
Each class will cover both heavy and light dancing, so you can build your confidence with both.
This is perfect for dancers who...
• Already have a bit of beginners experience
• Are getting comfortable with the very basics of soft shoe dancing (threes, sevens, jumps, rise and grind), and are interested in starting some simple heavy shoe dancing.
• Are confident in other dance styles and able to pick up steps quickly

This is the follow-on course from our 2025 Autumn Absolute Beginners Course.

🍻 This is a social and supportive class followed by a trip to the pub each week!
Note: This course is only available as a block booking, to enable the group to build on choreography week-to-week.

💧 Bring a bottle of water and wear trainers and something you're happy to sweat in! Loop earplugs are recommended to anyone who is sensitive to loud sounds.

No refunds are allowed for individual classes included on this course if a full-course ticket has been purchased.
You may cancel your booking for a course, without charge, up to 72 hours before the start of the first Session. Please email hello@jigandaswig.co.uk up to 72 hours before the course start time to confirm cancellation and request a refund.
We are unable to offer refunds for any cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class, unless in exceptional circumstances.
