Join us for a truly unforgettable yoga.social.hike experience through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, following the spectacular Malham Landscape Trail. This circular walk brings together some of the most dramatic and soul-stirring scenery in the north of England, making it a perfect setting to slow down, move mindfully, and connect — with nature and with each other.
This moderate route is ideal for hikers with a reasonable level of fitness who enjoy varied terrain, breathtaking views, and moments of quiet awe. From the moment we leave Malham village, the landscape opens up into rolling fields, limestone formations, woodland paths and cascading waterfalls.
We’ll walk at a relaxed, social pace, with time to chat, pause, take photos for the gram (obvs) and fully absorb the surroundings. Towards the end, we will find a peaceful spot for some gentle yoga and breathwork in nature.
✨ Why this hike is perfect for our group:
Iconic yet immersive scenery – Take in three of Yorkshire’s most famous natural landmarks in one loop:
• Gordale Scar, a dramatic limestone ravine that feels almost cathedral-like
• Janet’s Foss, a hidden woodland waterfall with a peaceful, magical atmosphere
• Malham Cove, a vast natural amphitheatre that inspires stillness and awe
A journey of contrast – Woodland shade, open limestone pavements, flowing water and wide valley views keep the walk engaging and energising without feeling rushed.
Perfect balance of effort and reward – Gentle climbs and uneven paths add just enough challenge to feel accomplished, without being overwhelming.
Ideal for mindful movement – Natural pauses along the route make this a beautiful setting for grounding practices, breathwork and gentle yoga stretches.
A naturally social route – Wide paths and open spaces encourage conversation, shared moments and connection within the group.
We’ll finish back in Malham village, where, as mentioned, there’s the option to enjoy a post-hike drink together at one of the local cafés or pubs — a lovely way to extend the social side of the day and reflect on the experience.
