Beginner Jewellery Course - 2 Day Silver

Learn the basics of silver jewellery making and craft your first jewellery pieces.

Class size: Limited to 6 spaces

This course is an introduction to basic metal working techniques for students who are completely new to silver jewellery making. Our aim is to ensure students complete the course feeling they can make fun and simple jewellery without further guidance. We teach a series of projects to achieve these goals:

Course Day 1

• Silver stack rings (with optional surface texture): One round and one square section ring with optional hammered surface texture.
• Simple silver stud earrings: A quick and easy project to learn how to make stud earrings. Choose from a selection of simple shapes.

Course Day 2

• Silver pendant with cabochon stone setting: Learn how to set a cabochon stone with a rub over setting to make a beautiful silver pendant. Decorative elements are optional such as twisted wire. Various finishes are available.
• Guidance on setting up a home jewellery workshop: Learn how to set up a home workshop to suit all types of budget.

On completion of this course you should have a solid foundation in jewellery making techniques and learn how to use all the necessary tools to enable you to create beautiful jewellery pieces from home. Plus, you’ll have the joy of taking home all the unique and handcrafted jewellery pieces you’ve created during the course!
