Antonella Rea (language tutor) and Stefano Montinaro (photographer and photography tutor), are offering an educational holiday for those interested in speaking Italian and photography. The group will be based in Cagliari.
In the mornings you will either attend a photography course with our resident photographer Stefano Montinaro OR an Italian course at L'Accademia - a well renowned school, specialising in teaching Italian to adults.
The afternoons Stefano and Antonella will help you discover the city of Cagliari and its surroundings. During this trip, you will have the opportunity to experience the spectacular Sardinian Carnival. This trip will include a day trip to Oristano, where we will attend Sa Sartiglia, a traditional festival of the Carnival period and unique to Sardinia.
ACCOMODATION
For this trip we are able to offer the following accommodation options:
Hotel Italia is a small, historical (1929) three star hotel located 900 metres from the school.
B&B in famiglia l’Accademia has suggested a number of small B & Bs where the owners live in the same house. Some of the rooms are ensuite. All accommodations are at a short distance from the school.

HOW TO GET TO CAGLIARI
You can make your own way to CAGLIARI aiming to arrive on the evening of Friday 28th February 2025 The closest airport is Cagliari Airport OR you can choose to travel from Newcastle to Stansted on a private coach departing from Dobson House no later than 9:30 am on Friday 28th February to catch a Ryanair flight to Cagliari Flight FR2687 departing at 17:25 and arriving in Cagliari at 21:00. We will return via Bergamo Orio al Serio on Saturday 8th March on the following flights:
Cagliari - Milan Bergamo Ryanair FR4007 departing at 14:55
Milan Bergamo - Newcastle Ryanair FR461 departing at 20:00
The cost of the private coach from Newcastle to Stansted IS NOT INCLUDED The estimated price for the transfer, depending on group size, is between £50 and £80 per person.
