Be a Boar day! OCTOBER HALF TERM FUN!

Hundreds of years ago our forests were filled with wild boars. Their habits were to disturb the forest floor in search of food. This in turn encourages wild flower seeds to come to the surface and grow!
We are thrilled to share that Andy Honman from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust will be leading the activity: Mimicking wild boar grubbing with the children turning over soil with tools to break the surface and encourage natural plant regeneration.
It will be very exciting and hands on! Just what the children need!
Please be aware that this event will take place at Mackworth Park/Mickleover Meadows Nature Reserve.
We will gather as a group and register outside Hall/St Francis Church at 11 am and proceed as a group from there.

Children and grownups will need wellington boots ideally or old trainers
You will also need their own garden trowel
Please make sure you wear suitable outdoor clothing also for the good old British weather
Please bring a bottle of water
