What is concept training?
Rather than teaching a fixed cue like “leave it” or “come”, concept training builds the underlying thinking skill your dog uses to disengage — so they get better at making that choice in all kinds of situations, not just the one scenario you practised. It’s an investment in how your dog thinks and copes, not a single trick for a single moment.
You’ll be added to our WhatsApp group for the block — a place to ask questions, share progress, and get support between sessions.
• You’ll be added to a WhatsApp group for the course — a place to ask questions and share progress between sessions
• Bring your dog on a well-fitting harness or collar and a lead (no flexi-leads please)
• Treats that hold together when thrown on the ground — avoid anything crumbly or that breaks apart easily (soft training treats cut into small chunks, or similar work well)
• Water and a bowl for your dog
• Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time to settle in
• If your dog is reactive to other dogs, let us know beforehand so we can plan spacing
• Wear suitable footwear/clothing for the weather — we’ll be outside
• If you can’t make a session, let us know as soon as possible
