This 2-hour awareness course is provided by Mothers Matter in partnership with Kimberley from Chatfield Training.
The course is designed to equip parents and family members with essential first aid skills for children and infants. Designed and delivered in a way to boost your confidence in managing emergency situations, Kimberley is a relaxed and friendly trainer who will encourage you to participate as much or as little as you wish to practice the skills you'll learn - or you can just observe and listen, if you prefer.
Topics include:
Dealing with emergencies
Primary Survey
CPR
Choking
Wounds & Bleeding
Head Injuries
Burns
Biscuits will also be provided during the session!
You can receive an attendance certificate by email upon completion of the course - there's no test, so as long as you attend the full session, you can get your certificate. There's also a confidential pre-course survey completed via QR code so you can let Kim, the trainer, know if there's something specific you want them to know, or to include in the course.
If you have a specific piece of first aid equipment and would like to know how to use it, feel free to bring it along with you and Kim will happily demonstrate this within the session.
