In this class we begin by bringing our mind into the body through a guided warm-up focused on spinal awareness and our relationship with gravity. Using simple imagery and key anatomical landmarks, we explore how the spine moves and how the body situates itself in space. The exploration continues on all fours and in inverted positions, bringing attention to the occiput and the head as a natural extension of the spine. This helps us discover new pathways for movement and perception. In the main part of the class, we explore communication through touch, alternating between the roles of guiding and being guided. We begin with blind-walking and blind-reading duets, where one person closes their eyes while the other leads. From there, we experiment with different points of contact and various surfaces, shifting in space. To finish, we integrate these experiences into a simple lift sequence, where guiding, inviting, and weight-sharing come together in a fluid exchange.
