An Arts & Crafts–Inspired Decorative Studio Workshop

Join me for a relaxed and carefully guided evening workshop in the Mino studio, inspired by the rich pattern, colour and decorative beauty of the Arts & Crafts movement and the work of William Morris.

This small-group studio session explores pattern and colour through a simple wax printing and painting process that produces beautiful, structured results — even if you’ve never drawn or painted before. Everything is demonstrated step by step, with a clear process to follow, so you can settle into the making and enjoy the rhythm and repetition of decorative design.

Working from a curated Morris-inspired design, you’ll develop your piece using gentle line, pattern and colour, building confidence as you go. Inks and watercolours are used to create depth, harmony and subtle variation, while maintaining clarity and control throughout the design.

At the end of the session, your main artwork will be mounted and framed in a walnut-toned wood and glass frame, ready to take home and display. If time allows, you’ll also create additional smaller pieces, finished with clean window mounts.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who loves the Arts & Crafts movement, decorative pattern, and timeless design — whether you’re drawn to William Morris textiles and wallpapers, looking to create a piece that complements your home, or simply wanting an enjoyable, creative evening in a calm studio setting.

Absolutely no drawing experience is needed.
This session is fully guided, beginner-friendly, and designed to give beautiful results.

Studio setting
The Mino studio is a cosy, welcoming space with very small group sizes, allowing plenty of individual guidance and an unhurried, relaxed atmosphere.

Refreshments included
Hot drinks, elderflower and ginger presse, and plenty of yummy treats are provided.
