PLAY TONE 'Learn to Skate' Programme is the first step towards becoming a recognised roller skating coach. This programme breaks down basic techniques that are created to boost skate instructor skills in order to effectively coach beginners. The course offers candidates the practical and theory to help develop an understanding of planning, delivery and evaluation of safe and high-quality roller skating sessions, that promote fitness and fun.
Training will be led by PLAY TONE Masters.
Training will be delivered face-to-face in a one-day practical workshop at the London Bridge studio 17th Feb 2019.
In 2019 PLAY TONE IS EXPANDING...This qualification will enable you to teach at all the various different venues around London and even worldwide! 2019 we are taking PLAY TONE out of the UK....
Our Learn To Skate program is certified by EDMuk (The National Body For Group Fitness and Exercise and other established roller skates officials).
Assessments will be observed and informally assessed throughout the workshop, via quizzes and practical demonstrations. An instructor manual will be given and online support offered including links to video/ image tutorials and a wider private social network of instructors.
In a year a range of events (Refreshers to Masterclasses) will be held specifically for instructors to refresh techniques, learn new skills and meet with other instructors and weekly training held for coaches to practice their personal roller skating skills.
