This course is all about supporting you to understand your ADHD better, sharing practical tips to make life easier, and connecting with a supportive group of people who really get what it’s like to live with ADHD
We understand that participating in a group can feel challenging for many of us. We encourage people to participate in ways that feel manageable to them. There is no requirement to speak in front of the whole group and we don't do icebreakers
Each week, we’ll cover a different topic
The sessions include time for sharing experiences in small groups (3–5 people), as well as plenty of information, tools, and insights to take away
We’ll also create a WhatsApp group so you can stay in touch, share ups and downs, and support each other during the course and beyond
Here’s what we’ll cover - through a neurodivergent lens:
Week 1: Foundations
Explore how unmet needs impact your life
Work out what motivates you by identifying your core values
Look at the impact of negative thoughts and build confidence by exploring your strengths
Week 2: Making Changes, and Habits
Discover why change can feel overwhelming and how to make it more manageable
Learn how small, realistic steps can lead to lasting changes
Understand habits and find ways to replace unhelpful ones with ones that work better for you
Week 3: Executive Function
Learn about executive functions like organisation, planning, and time management, and how ADHD affects them
Share strategies for managing areas you’re struggling with
Week 4: Emotional Dysregulation
Understand why emotions can feel intense or hard to manage with ADHD
Explore the impact of rejection sensitive dysphoria
Get tools for handling emotional overwhelm and improving relationships
Week 5: ADHD and Hormones
Find out how hormones impact ADHD symptoms, especially during life changes
Learn about the different ways ADHD presents and why it’s often misunderstood
Week 6: Self-Care and Connection
Discover how self-care can be simplified to work for you
Talk about the importance of connection and explore how to build genuine, supportive relationships.
You’ll also receive a coursebook packed with helpful information to support you each step of the way.
Here’s what previous attendees have said when asked what they had gained from the course:
"So much. Knowing why/how my brain works means I am more patient with myself."
"Much more than I could have hoped. Understanding neurodiversity and meeting other ADHDers."
"A feeling of belonging – I didn’t feel weird!"
The first and last sessions will be held at Cafe Recharge. The four middle sessions will be held over zoom.
