Sing, Feel, Move, Play is a course for 2.5-4 year olds.
Rooted in Edward Gordons music learning Theory, we will explore original and some well-known English songs through musical games, movement and instruments. The classes are child led and I follow their lead closely.
My aim is to nurture every child's musical potential, creating an environment and games which support the development of their psychomotoric, expressive, cognitive and social skills. My aim is to support them, not just in musical but their personal growth. To enable this, the class size is restricted to 7 participants.
The children are free to move, explore, and engage with the musical environment at their own pace.
Together we will start working on coordination. Particularly the coordination of the voice with movement, and voice with the playing of instruments. This is a vital step and one which is very important especially in the learning of instruments later.
The classes are playful and involve the children's creativity, nurturing each child's musical potential. It's a non pressured, but structured environment supporting the children to find, explore and play with their own musical voice.
This is not an English learning class. It is a music class where the instructional language is simple English.
To ensure smooth running of sessions, I'd be very grateful that you read and follow the following rules:
Please remove your shoes before entering the main teaching room.
If you need to have a snack before or after, please do so in the waiting area- That way the the teaching room can stay clean for everyone :)
if you have a push chair, you may park them in the dell in the stairway. They are not allowed to be left by the front door ( due to health and safety reasons).If you have a particularly expensive one- you might want to bring a padlock, as they are left at your own risk.

This ticket is valid for the 11 sessions of the Autumn term. Incase of course leaders illness, 2 make up dates have been put into play( 8th yes even if it's a national holiday!! & 15th). Missed class policy: No missed classes can be refunded.

2 Trial classes 15th & 22nd September
This enables one child with their accompanying adult to try out two classes on the dates above. The first time a child tries out a new class, it can be a little overwhelming- new space, new faces, new activity. This helps us see if the class is a good fit for your child. This ticket cannot be refunded. Incase of illness, please do contact Sophie and see if there is a possibility to reschedule.
