This special issue of The Journal of Religious History, Literature and Culture reveals a little known set of hand written manuscripts on the ecclesiastical life and governance of St Davids during the turbulent years of the 17th and early 18th century. Written by the Venerable Richard Davies, Archdeacon of St Davids and Residentiary Canon, the manuscripts have been stored carefully on the shelves of the Bodleian Library in Oxford. Now made accessible to scholars and others through careful transcription and commentary by Bishop Wyn Evans.
