Early Summer Wardrobe Workshop (Ages 10 - 18)

Step into the role of a fashion designer and create your own summer capsule wardrobe, inspired by today’s biggest teen and tween trends. From Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, Hollister and Subdued, to more luxe and feminine brands like LoveShackFancy, you’ll design and make pieces that feel totally you.

Whether your style leans towards streetwear, girly, minimalist, sporty or evening wear, this course gives you the freedom to create garments to suit your aesthetic — from skirts, dresses and jackets to loungewear, pilates sets, beachwear, swimwear and accessories. The possibilities really are endless.

You’ll learn the technical and design processes behind building a capsule wardrobe, including how designers turn ideas into finished garments. Along the way, you’ll master sewing techniques such as working with stretch fabrics, traditional jersey finishes, and attaching lace to stretch materials.

This programme is perfect for teenagers and tweens who are curious about fashion, love clothes, enjoy being creative, or are considering fashion as a future pathway. There is a strong focus on sustainability, exploring how designers can work responsibly through zero-waste thinking and using donated dead stock fabrics.

You will learn how to:
• Think and work like a fashion designer, developing your own ideas into wearable designs
• Design pieces inspired by your favourite brands and current trends
• Work with fabrics donated by local designers within a 7-mile radius
• Create mood boards and design development sheets — just like industry professionals
• Pattern cut, sew and construct your own garments
• Take your first steps into the fashion industry

Whilst building valuable skills such as:
• Creative confidence and communication
• Fashion design and trend awareness
• Fabric knowledge and material handling
• Embellishment techniques
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Machine and hand sewing

You will leave with:
• Your own design development sheets
• A completed outfit designed and made entirely by you
• A digital certificate of completion

What you need:
• A packed lunch, snacks and a reusable water bottle each day
• All materials, fabrics and sewing equipment are provided

• Monday to Friday, 10.00am – 4.00pm

Bookings cannot be made within 48 hours of the event, as we need time to plan our workshops and confirm our freelance tutors.
