The garden at Luctons is filled with variety: clipped box hedges with topiary peacocks, an extensive terrace with urns of flowers, cottage garden style planting in long double flower borders and an orchard underplanted with spring bulbs. The orchard includes the apple variety 'Spartan' and borders the kitchen garden. Propogation is important to the owners who also have 3 greenhouses and grapevines.

The Priest House has over 170 culinary, medicinal and household herbs planted in the garden which surrounds the house built in the fifteenth century. Initially the house was lived in by labourers but in 1905 it was restored in the style of William Morris and Philip Webb by John Godwin-King and opened to the public. Apart from herbs the garden contains espaliered apple trees and many cottage garden favourites.
Parking in the village is limited. There will be parking marshalls from SGT to help direct you. However there is also a free public car park at Finches Field Car Park, 2 Church Hill, East Grinstead, RH19 4PN. This is approximately 400 yards from the visits. The road does not have a pavement so please be careful if using this option.
