Fly High – Attendee Information & Instructions

Welcome to the 11th Acro & Aerial Convention of Norwich – Fly High! We’re looking forward to two full days of training, learning, sharing and connecting at The Oak Circus Centre.

Please read the following information before attending.

• Arrival & registration: Please arrive with enough time to register and get ready before your first session. The convention runs 9:00–21:00 on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October 2026.
• What to bring: Comfortable training clothes, a water bottle, any personal training equipment you normally use, warm layers for between sessions, and plenty of energy! Please avoid clothing with zips, jewellery or anything that could damage aerial equipment or cause injury while training.
• Training level: Workshops will have different levels and requirements. Please choose sessions appropriate to your current ability and experience. Tutors may ask you to modify or stop a skill if they believe it is unsafe or unsuitable for your level.
• Safety: Follow the instructions of tutors and event staff at all times. Do not attempt unfamiliar or advanced skills without appropriate coaching, spotting or safety equipment. Please respect designated training areas and equipment restrictions.
• Aerial equipment: Only use aerial equipment as instructed and within supervised sessions where required. Please do not alter rigging, move equipment or attach your own apparatus without permission from the event team.
• Open training: Where open-training opportunities are available, participants are responsible for working within their own abilities. Do not train skills requiring a spotter or coach without appropriate support.
• Physical readiness: Circus and acrobatic training is physically demanding. Please warm up properly, stay hydrated and take breaks when needed. If you are injured, unwell or have a condition that may affect your participation, please inform the relevant tutor before taking part.
• Respect & conduct: Fly High is an inclusive training environment. Treat tutors, staff and fellow participants with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. Consent must always be obtained before physical contact, spotting or partnering with another participant.
• Food: Your weekend ticket includes one meal per day. Please make sure we know about any dietary requirements or allergies in advance.
• Saturday Cabaret: Entry to the Saturday evening cabaret is included with your weekend ticket.
• Personal belongings: Please look after your own belongings. Avoid bringing unnecessary valuables to the venue.
• Photos & filming: Always ask permission before filming or photographing other participants. Tutors may also have individual policies regarding filming during their workshops.
• Under-18s: Any participants under 18 must follow the event’s specific safeguarding and supervision requirements.
• Most importantly: Train intelligently, look after each other, try something new and enjoy being part of the community.
