Advanced Self Rescue Skills for Climbers (2 day)

You’ve already got the basics dialled — now it’s time to tackle the bigger problems. This advanced self rescue course explores more complex rescue systems and decision-making for climbers operating on longer, steeper, and more committing routes. Through realistic scenarios, we’ll work through improvised hauling systems, assisted escapes, counterbalance rescues, tandem abseils, passing knots, managing injured climbers in difficult terrain, and problem-solving under pressure. Designed for experienced climbers looking to build confidence handling serious incidents when retreat or outside assistance isn’t straightforward.

Minimum age - 18 years
Workshop ratio - 1:4 on day 1, 1:2 on day 2
Workshop length - 2 days
