There’s something rather lovely about the garden in early spring. 🌿🌸 The garden is beginning to wake up, with fresh new growth, emerging leaves and the first signs of colour appearing in the borders, all offering plenty of inspiration for botanical illustration.
Join us in the Glasshouse on Saturday 27 March for a relaxed and creative day with talented local botanical artist Alison Walker, a member of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists. 🖌️🖼️
Alison will guide you through careful observation, drawing techniques and watercolour application, helping you create your own botanical study inspired by the Walled Garden. Whether you’re completely new to botanical illustration or already enjoy painting, Alison’s friendly and encouraging approach will help you work at your own pace.
Your day includes
🌿 A leisurely seasonal walk through the Walled Garden
🌿 Expert tuition from Alison Walker
🌿 All materials provided, including pencils, watercolours, brushes and specialist paper

🎁 Looking for a Christmas gift? This workshop makes a lovely present for anyone who enjoys art, gardens and creating something by hand. Rather than another thing to unwrap, it’s a whole day to enjoy, memories to make, and a botanical painting to take home at the end.
