Beltane (or Bealtaine) - more commonly known as May Day - is an Iron Age Celtic festival welcoming the return of summer, traditionally celebrated on 1st May.
Meaning “bright fire,” Beltane is a celebration of love, fertility, life, and the joy of gathering in community.
Throughout April, we will meet on Thursday evenings to prepare for the turning of the seasons toward the full expression of summer. Over four weeks, we’ll explore themed poetry, mantra, reflective practices, movement, rest, meditation, and song in honour of the season ahead.
Beltane is about saying YES to life, about tasting the diversity and abundance of existence. The blessing below speaks to some of the themes we’ll be weaving with:
May your inner fire burn wild and warm, graceful and raw.
May you find pleasure in the quiet and magnificent miracle of being.
May all that is painful within you be warmly embraced.
May all that is emerging within you be danced, breathed, and loved into life.
You can drop in for a single session or book all four for the full experience. Get in touch if you have any questions or would like to pay me directly at megan.amy.avery@gmail.com
I hope to see you there!
With love and power,
Megan
P.S. There will also be a four-week Elemental Yoga journey on Monday evenings 17.00 - 18,45 throughout April, which you can find on the Yogasara schedule
P.P.S. Last year we held a similar series building up to Imbolc, honouring the darkness. Those Inner Hearth Yoga sessions were fully booked in advance, so please do book early to avoid disappointment.
