Kenshukai Karate is a traditional style of karate that is based on respect and self-discipline.

It is taught in a friendly atmosphere that allows people of all ages to come and enjoy the benefits of this fantastic art including self-defence, etiquette, confidence, concentration, fitness and co-ordination.

Our instructors are committed to each students individual progress.

We are careful to take into account peoples age and physical and mental ability.

Recommended training frequency:

BEGINNERS: 1-2 sessions per week is ideal for building a strong foundation in essential skills, without overwhelming your mind and body. Maintaining a consistent and focused training pattern is key to development.

INTERMEDIATE: 2-3 sessions per week helps to maintain progress, enhance fitness, develop more advanced techniques and improve overall performance across kihon, kata and kumite.

ADVANCED: 3-5 sessions per week will intensify focus on all karate practices, balanced with increased strength, endurance and flexibility, enabling mastery of more complex skills.
