The perfect way to release accumulated stress from the Christmas period and enter the new year feeling grounded, calm and rejuvenated.
In this deeply relaxing and nourishing workshop we aim to calm and reset the nervous system, release tightness and tension in the body and quieten the mind. We will aim to achieve conscious deep rest which has powerful healing effects.
09.30-10.30 - Gentle Hatha yoga to Calm and Reset - A slow paced, mindful class with a focus on breathing deeply, letting go and relaxing into the postures & stretches.
10.30-10.50 - Warming teas & nourishing snack
10.50 - 12.00- Restorative yoga - lying down postures where we are very well supported with bolsters and props for the ultimate comfort and relaxation. The restorative postures are all about getting as comfortable as possible so are modified to suit each individual’s needs, making this class suitable for all abilities.
In this workshop you will learn how to calm and reset your nervous system and by the end you should feel more centred, grounded, calmer and clear headed. Spending more time in the parasympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system helps us to become healthier and happier. This workshop is like nourishment for the soul.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one (or you are welcome to borrow one of ours if you don't have one). Please wear comfortable clothes and bring layers.
