In this class Maddy will guide you through a wonderful, mindful yoga class aimed at increasing mobility and range of movement by stabilising, stretching, strengthening and toning the body as well as releasing tightness and tension in order to find more ease and freedom in the body.
We will do slow, intentional movements combined with somatic awareness to get our bodies moving through its full range. There will be a focus on breathing deeply into the yoga postures which allows the muscles to relax into deeper ranges and helps to calm the nervous system which helps reduce involuntary muscle guarding helping us to feel more ease and fluidity in the body.
We will start with joint freeing exercises & stretches then move onto strengthening exercises then yoga postures that take us through our full range of movement before winding down into some deeper stretches and then into relaxation.
This class will help you increase your mobility and range of movement and will also help you to de-stress, re-energise and feel centred and grounded.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one (you are welcome to borrow one of ours if you don't have one). Please wear comfortable clothes and bring layers.
