Join Klinic for a day of education and information about Providing Gender Affirming Care.
There will be two workshops (info below); certificates will be provided at the end of the day - participants are required to attend the full day in order to receive a certificate.
Workshop Info:

Lunch will be provided (please list any dietary restrictions you have when registering).

Workshop schedule:
9:00am - 12:00pm : Transgender and Gender Diversity Awareness & Inclusion
Facilitated by Trans Health Klinic staff including peer supporters with lived experience, this training explores impacts of systemic anti-Trans discrimination and explores strategies to create positive space and inclusive practices.
1:00pm - 4:30pm: Gender-affirming Hormone Therapy
This interactive workshop will encourage participants to explore patients/clients’ gender journey and goals, partake in informed consent discussions with clients/patients requesting hormone therapy, assess readiness for hormone therapy, prescribe and monitor hormone therapy, manage side effects and common concerns about hormone therapy, and seek ongoing clinical support.
Front doors will be open at 8:30am.
Please arrive at 8:30am, to ensure you have enough time to get settled and grab light sacks and refreshments before the first workshop starts at 9:00am.
Parking:
There is no parking onsite at Klinic, however, there is free time-restricted street parking on Furby Street and Langside Street. Note: Please be mindful of parking time restrictions, as Klinic Community Health is not responsible for any tickets or fees incurred.
Covid Protocols: Masks are no longer mandatory but social distancing will be encouraged; if you are feeling unwell, please notify Haran Vijayanathan (hvijayanathan@klinic.mb.ca) and do not attend. You will be reimbursed in full.
