ASIST

Public registration begins Friday, July 18 at 12pm.

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a standardized 2-day introductory suicide intervention training course developed by Livingworks in Calgary. It is offered throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.

ASIST is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. This basic training is mandatory for employment in many community agencies throughout Manitoba, and has been offered at Klinic since November 2006.

Full attendance of this 2-day training is required to receive the ASIST certificate.

Location: IN PERSON at Klinic Community Health (167 Sherbrook St)
Session times: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Cost: $250.00

A minimum one-week notice is required to receive refund of registration fee. Email a notice of registration cancellation to Education@klinic.mb.ca. Notice must provide Booking #, full name of person registered, and session title and date(s).

Schedule is subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to insufficient registration and we will make every effort to provide as much advance notice as possible.

Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm (Doors open at 8:00am)

Location: Klinic Community Health Training Room (167 Sherbrook St)

Coffee/tea and pastries will be available in the morning. Please bring your own lunch.

Must stay for entire two days in order to receive certificate

Covid-19 Protocols: Masks are no longer mandatory but can be worn; social distancing will be encouraged.
