How much fun does this look?!

The family classes run slightly different to the term-time classes – they are suitable for children aged 1-11 years. There will be creative stations set up on the floor, along with arts and crafts projects set up at 3 tables. At each table you will find the resources required for your child to create each of the projects. There is a picture on each table to show you where each project is to be completed.

The activities will be free flow and the children will go to each as and when they see fit. You may find that your child does not want to play at the creative stations, you may find that they do not want to do the crafts, or you may find that they want to do it all. This is all fine!

The room will be set up with plastic matting under tough spots, covering the floor space where the children will be playing. The children may be getting wet or sticky with some of the activities that are set up, so please do keep an eye on them to ensure that they don’t slip over.

The whole idea around the class is that it’s messy! With the younger children in the class I would totally advise stripping them down to a nappy and vest and letting them get on with it. For some of the older ones that aren’t OK with just the vest, I recommend light clothing – maybe even shorts and t-shirt.

With regards to adult participation, you may get wet or messy too! I was always most comfortable when I kicked off my shoes, rolled up my sleeves and accepted the inevitable …. I found my kids enjoyed the sessions a lot more when I had this attitude too.

As stated above, adult participation throughout the session is encouraged. While I am aware of what is suitable for each age and stage to be playing with, you know your little one best. Please do watch them if you know they are unsteady on their feet, or you know they are likely to put things in their mouth. Please do ensure that you make me aware of any allergies.

If you do not receive a confirmation email then a place has not been booked: please ensure that you click to complete checkout.

Please ensure that you read the word document attached to this event. I am aware that it is lengthy but it is full of information that you may need. It also contains my Covid-19 information - it is essential that this has been read.

If you arrive early for the session, you will find that the doors are opened at 9.50am. There is a space for you to wait with your child until the session begins at 10am.
