PHE are offering FREE locally tailored training sessions for healthcare professionals in primary and secondary care. This training is delivered in partnership with Active Together.

Very brief advice on physical activity from healthcare professionals has been shown to improve clinical outcomes. This training focuses on practical tips to easily integrate this into every day clinical practice.

Learn more about how physical activity can make a difference to patients and service users and improve people's lives.

The training covers the following:

  • Definitions, guidelines and evidence base for physical activity and inactivity.
  • The importance of physical activity for prevention and management of disease.
  • Integrating physical activity and brief interventions into clinical practice.
  • Utilising the behaviour change model to apply very brief interventions into clinical practice.

This training is open to healthcare professionals working across the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care System.
