Content
Refresher Session of Level 1 Signs & Symbols, recaps the signs & symbols from stages 1 & 2 & additional part A of the Core Vocabulary.
Refresher Session of Level 1 Signs & Symbols is in addition to your Makaton training.
It is recommended for previous participants of Level 1 training with Signing Together, who need to use Makaton at home and in their work, to develop the communication skills of others.
Delivery method
Online in real time via Zoom - You will receive the Zoom link for the session via an email from signingtogethermakatontutor@gmail.com after your booking has been received. Please look out for this email (also check your junk folder) ahead of the session.
Duration
Refresher Session of Level 1 Signs & Symbols is 1 hour.
Please note the duration of the session may vary depending on group size & recall of previously taught signs & symbols from Level 1.
Entry criteria
Previous completion of Level 1 training with Signing Together is required.
This session is only open to previous participants of Signing Together - if you place a reservation and have not completed Level 1 or have completed Level 1 with a different tutor your reservation will be cancelled.
Study materials
You will need your Level 1 Participant's manual to hand, which includes the Makaton signs and symbols that you were taught in your Level 1 training.

Level: Beginner
You will need a good internet connection to ensure Zoom works well, as well as a big enough screen to see all participants (this can be up to 11 others). Ideally, a computer/laptop screen with camera and microphone function, as you will need to be seen and heard clearly for assessment of your signing. Mobile phones are NOT suitable as you will need both hands free and visible throughout the session and you will need to see all participants.
Please ensure your environment is quiet and distraction free.
