We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a brand new Premier League Kicks all girls festival, taking place on Friday 8th March, starting at 4:30pm. The matches will be taking place on the 4G pitch at the One Call Stadium, with a finish time of 6:00pm. This event is completely free of charge.
We are looking for players from all skill levels and backgrounds to participate in the event, which will be a fun interactive experience. You must be born between 2.9.2007 and 31.8.2009 - (Year 10-11). Players will be signing up individually and then placed in teams, pre determined by our expert coaches. Please make sure you indicate which positions you play, as this will be used when selecting the teams. Games will either be 5 or 6 a side, lasting 10 minutes.
What is the purpose of the festival?
Friday 8th March is International Women's Day, and what better way to celebrate the day with some festival football! The festival is to encourage more female participation through our Premier League Kicks programme, and to provide a fun but also competitive tournament, to inspire more girls to take up football. We are hoping to have players from the Mansfield Town Ladies team attend the event, as well as representatives from Her Game Too.
Through participation of the festival, participants may be offered a chance to compete for Mansfield Town in an upcoming PL Kicks tournament on the 14th April 2024.
Registration will begin at 4:30pm on the Astroturf pitch located next to the One Call Stadium, kick-off will begin at 4:45pm. Attendees should bring a refillable drinks bottle, suitable football boots for 4G astroturf and we recommend wearing shin pads.
There will be an area for spectators located next to the pitch.
