This was originally a 4-week course but due to interest it has extended into a regular puppy class/ course. Feel free to dip in to the sessions you can attend, or gain a discount by booking all sessions in advance!
🐕🦺 Puppy & Junior Group Training 🐕🦺
A group training class for all gundog breeds under 1 year of age. All abilities of dogs and handlers welcome. Whilst these training sessions are open to all gundog breeds, the dogs and owners do not have to work their dogs or want to work their dogs in the future!! A well-behaved pet dog that happens to be a working/ gundog breed is absolutely perfect!!
The classes are designed to use intrinsic and extrinsic motivational techniques specific to gundog breeds (such as dummies), which, alongside positive reinforcement training, should show extremely strong results within a short space of time!
The focus being on the CORE exercises needed for any form of future training, Heelwork, Steadiness & Recall.
Basic retrieves, hunting and handling commands may be covered depending on the dogs ability and age. The main areas of focus; will be intertwined in all that is taught.
There will be exercises to practice at home but the main priority is to enjoy some focused time with your puppy and to see the progress made over the weeks 😁🐶.
Please ensure you bring suitable clothing and footwear as training will be outside in all weathers. A game bag or training vest for carrying dummies is advised. All dummies and training equipment will be provided by Sinead unless specified otherwise.
