🐕 Pre-novice/Novice Gundog Group Training

Details

Group training for pre-novice level gundogs and handlers.

Dogs over 10months of age who are ready for the next stage of gundog training. As this is pre-novice, there is no upper age limit.

Whether that is the need for more group experiences, working with distractions, embedding handling on a range of retrieves or to practice scenarios/ retrieves ready for working tests. The benefits to training in a group when the dog is ready can be extremely rewarding, as well as necessary to be a well-rounded working dog.

Safari (static) style retrieves. Working on transitioning from basic training to more complex retrieves. Building confidence and ability in dog and handler. Each session is a different focus in various terrain and cover such as crop, woods & water.

Please note- this is a general training session. For specific wood/ water / Sugarbeet etc. training please choose that specific class.

Areas of focus on the session will always included heelwork, steadiness, dogs ability to mark (if appropriate) handle, pick & deliver as clean and efficient retrieve as possible. Full guidance will be offered on each retrieve and the group will be asked for their evaluation, to ensure learning even during another handler’s retrieve.

Level: Pre-novice
