Practical Training session for Novice & Open dogs. To work on training over dykes of varying difficulty as well as working through hedges. Handling out of sight is one of the main differences between novice and open level dogs.
Marks, memories & blind retrieves through these barriers will be adapted to suit the dog’s level. As well as practicing angles and discussing the appropriate use of commands.
All dogs must be over 12months and be fit and well (no injuries). Please do not bring a dog that has had sickness or diarrhoea within the 24h prior to the session, or a dog that has suspected Kennel Cough. Thank you 🙏
Please ensure you bring a lead, whistle (your usual training whistle is fine, please contact Sinead if you are unsure on the whistle you need to bring) and lanyard as a minimum. Training treats, recall toys and other items that you may use during training can be brought. We can discuss the appropriate use of these at the session if you are unsure.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear as training will be outside in all weathers. A game bag or training vest for carrying dummies is advised. All dummies and training equipment will be provided by Sinead unless specified otherwise.
