Details

Discover the art of making handmade brooms! This course is an introduction to broom making materials and construction. You will learn how to make a real broom (whisk broom or pot-scrubber/cake-tester) for decorative or functional use with simple materials. While kitchen brooms and decorative options will be discussed as well as advanced vintage equipment. In the end, you will gain the knowledge and confidence to explore the world of hand-crafted brooms. Participants should refrain from wearing open-toed shoes and, if possible, plan to bring a sharp knife and scissors. ​​
