Details

Nightlights perform an important function; they illuminate a small area such as a staircase, hallway, or bathroom. Yet, nightlights do not have to be cheap, ugly, or plastic! In fact, they can be exquisitely beautiful and, if crafted from stained glass, an heirloom piece that can be passed down from generation to generation.

In this 5-hour hands-on workshop, students will light their way creating a stained glass nightlight from patterns, hardware, and a HUGE selection of stained glass.
Each student will learn to cut glass, copper foil, solder, patina, polish, and cam set their glass in a nightlight base. Students will be given instruction on how to focus their work on the structure and stability of the nightlight.  This is a beginning class, so no experience necessary. Create a one-of-a-kind nightlight you can enjoy day and night!

Students are encouraged to bring their own safety glasses and gloves preferred. We also require students to wear closed heel and toe shoes - no sandals when working with glass.
