"First Steps in Music 0-18" is a course for families with children aged 0-18 months. Our approach is based on Gordon's Music Learning Theory and offers original songs, creative ideas, and musical games that stimulate the development of musical skills, cognitive and psychomotor development. With no more than 11 children per class, parents are encouraged to participate, creating a musical bond with their children during the lessons. Our goal is to guide children's musical potential in a playful, child-led environment. At Music Tree, we create a magical experience through sounds, non-verbal communication, movement and dance, supporting innate musical potential.
The class is non-verbal, according to Gordon's Music Learning Theory framework (for example we do not talk, clap our hands at the end of songs, or talk to each other during the session). This is to allow for moments of focused listening and to create opportunities for children to engage in a musical dialogue with the teacher and other children.
Children are free to move and explore the room. They are encouraged to engage with music in the way they prefer.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in the class by singing and moving along with their child, following the teacher's guidance.
Instructions
We want to ensure that our classes run smoothly for everyone attending, and so we kindly remind you of some important rules:
Please make sure to arrive on time for the class, as we will not allow entry after 10 minutes from the start time.
If you plan to bring another adult to the class, please let us know in advance. We will allow this according to availability.
Similarly, if you wish to bring another child, please inform us beforehand. We will try our best to accommodate this, based on availability.
We kindly ask that you refrain from using your phones during the session, unless previously agreed with the teacher.
Food and drinks should be consumed before or after the class.

Winter Term
(5th January - 20th March)1) Music Tree does not provide refunds for any missed classes.
