Bat Walk at Hainault Forest

Details

Have you ever seen a bat? Did you know we have recorded 11 different species of bat in Redbridge?

You'll hear an interesting talk about these mystical creatures and then we'll go for a walk to see and hear the bats. We'll also provide bat detectors for you to use.

We'll include a short talk about the Heritage & Lottery Funded Project at Hainault Forest.

This event is for anyone 8 years and over. Each child must be supervised by an adult.

Instructions

This event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the terrain. There are parts of the walk where we may stop, but there will be other areas where we walk at a steady pace.

You must wear appropriate clothing for the current weather conditions and appropriate sturdy footwear due to uneven surfaces.

Feel free to bring a torch, but do not shine them at the bats.

No dogs allowed, except assistance dogs.

Attendees will receive meeting point details once they book their ticket.
